To Tweet or Not Tweet

so now I am on Twitter and I have to say, I dont really get it.  I guess maybe I am not important enoug but realistically I just dont have the much to say that way.  I have gotten a few new followers but for reallY i just dont get it.  I have to admit that I enjoy the following aspect.  I like to read what other folks are talking about.  I like to see what their deals are and the little things that make them tick.  How do you tweet?  Do you have any suggestions for me?
